Encroachment of Green Belt - wall required

Sir,

I wish to bring to your attention, PWD is not taking care of land under your charge, and permitting it to be encroached by hawkers, vendors and vested interests, in the area of Defence Colony, New Delhi 110024, Ring Road end.

This 'calling to attention' more specifically alludes to green belt and land between the ring road and Defence Colony. This area is being encroached by hawkers, vendors and other vested interests who are gradually setting up permanent structures there, to which PWD has turned a blind eye. 

Further, the area has not been lit by streetlights, as a result of which nefarious activity such as dumping Mulba, theft, prostitution, mugging and other petty crimes keep occurring in this area, making it very unsafe for residents.

Consequently, you may consider constructing a protective wall along the periphery of the colony, that is, a wall starting from house number E-1 to E-27, and provide gates for ingress / egress. This will prevent crime, make residents secure, and protect the green belts from encroachment.
